New: Virtual Concert Series

2020 (1).png

Voices Unheard is excited to present a new virtual concert series!

Starting this Friday we will be launching weekly mini-concerts featuring a diverse range of artists, including students from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the University of Maryland, and bassist and composer Andres Martin! These concerts will be dedicated to recognizing the talents of underrepresented artists within the music industry. We will be featuring works by Valerie Coleman, Florence Price, H. Leslie Adams, original compositions, and more. All concerts will be uploaded and streamed on Facebook.

Donations towards this concert series will help support the work of Voices Unheard. Including its growth as a collective, the commissioning of new works, and funding its artists. This Friday’s program will feature works by two phenomenal women composers, Jessie Montgomery and Valerie Coleman.

By hosting these virtual concerts we will:

-Provide our audience with further insight into underrepresented composers they should know of.

-Showcase the talents of underrepresented artists.

-Build community through a virtual space in place of our regular in-person concerts.

Stay tuned for future live discussions as well!
